Flying Hamster

Here is the current colored version of the image. Any crits are welcome. The image was redrawn in painter x using the scratchboard tool.

Here's an illustration I'm currently doing on the side. It started off as a sketch based off a comment an employee at Jim Henson had made. I liked the sketch so much I'm currently digitizing it by redrawing it in painter and coloring it. The colored version is nearly done and will be on my website soon.

Did a random quick sketch before lunch.

These are two tonal studies for a couple of backgrounds I'm working on for another project/short film. Both paintings will most likely be painted in Acrylic on cold press illustration board. The top image just needs some refining...the second image I'm trying to still work out the comp...I might move the bottle around ...not sure.

I'll try to keep up on my posting...it's been getting busy.

For my birthday my girlfriend bought me a very awesome gift...a glass blowing class. It was absolutely awesome and I now have yet another hobby I hope to have in the near future. Here are some images:

A paper weight my girlfriend and I made. I made the big snail out of copper and my girlfriend made the smaller 3d snail in front of him. It's a colored piece of glass with the copper on top followed by a large pour of clear glass on top.

This is casting I made, It's of a toy turtle and some seashell impressions around him. Green glass poured in the turtle and clear around him.

This is it, my very first blown piece of glass. It's smaller than a normal cup and larger than a shot glass...not sure where that would fall...maybe a double shot...I don't know. It was a ton of fun to make. I can't wait for the opportunity to learn and make more.
