Fun Project

CODEBASE="http://www.apple.com/qtactivex/qtplugin.cab">

I decided to take a break from my characters to make a prop that will be in my next film. As you can see it's a book with some flipping pages. I might add a few more pages. Anyhow, I found a tutorial on making animated books at:

http://www.computerarts.co.uk/tutorials

It is really fun, the instructions are a little jumbled, but if you know the software then it won't take you long.

Anyhow, thought I'd post the playblast.

Nice work, man. Are the pages going to be turning by themselves or is there a hand that will be turning them?

Hey, what's happening? Long time my friend. I've been, uhhhh, away. Good to see that you're gettin' a lot done, man. Keep on posting!

Oh, and thanks for rubbing in the Roger Waters concert and telling me of the absolute joy you had experienced watching it.

Thanks for the comment John!

I remember seeing this at Morgan's house last week...it looks awesome now just as it did then. Very impressive work. Sorry for the delays; I haven't been home too much in the past couple of days, but expect a review of the script very soon.

Thanks everybody!

Matt- The pages will probably turn by themselves. The way I plan on incorporating the book is through a voice over refering to some verbage in the book...and I see it in my head in a way where it will happen very fast and won't really need to show a character opening it.

Tal-Thanks for stopping on by. I'll definately keep up on my posts. The roger waters concert was superb and I was so excited I couldn't refrain from telling you...it was just one of those things in life...it was great. Glad to see you posted.

Megan-Thanks for your positive comment. I'm hoping the texturing will double the overall impression factor. Don't worry about delays.

That's cool. Having the pages turn without intervention is a cool effect I think anyways. Has a magical feel.

Cool Book John! I haven't been on your blog lately, just been so busy lately. After a whole month I finally posted on my own blog last night.

Always enjoy all of your work. Keep it up!
