Random sketching

So here is a character that I came up with as I was scribbling. It kind of manifested itself from my scribbles and I cleaned it up a bit and added some color.

My gnome is currently in the process of unwrapping UV's. I had made some changes to him. Originally I was designing him to be able to squash and strech...I think I'm going to leave that out now...I'll still apply squash and stretch to tad...but I will be treating the gnome with a little more realism...however, I'll still be using the techniques in Jason Osipas book to create a variety of great facial animation.

Other than that...I had been rethinking my project with the worm and I think I just came up with an idea that I like a lot and will fall more into the catagory of Strange Behavior.

Expect some updates soon regarding all three. For now enjoy this new bizarre creature sketch I did. I envisioned the blue part of the crown to kind of glow on the backside and the stuff at the top of the crown is some kind of cottage cheese/organic substance the creature is constantly producing and pumping out of the top. Kinda weird. Anyway, he was fun to draw.

Awesome scribbles! That thing looks part turkey and that it might be the leader of some weird snail/slug tribe because of that big hat type thing. Nice work John! I look forward to more updates on all your works.

I deleted my other post because I realized after submitting that it had too many typing errors...ha ha. Its been a long day of animating. Time to sleep. =)

Hey dude I like the creature. It looks pretty cool. Seems like it would be a smart creature too, like a noble kind of race. That's my impression from looking at it, at least. I guess because the top part of the head sort of looks like a crown, and snaily-type creatures always seem wise to me. Anyways, good work. Can't wait to see more of your stuff.
